Asiea directs DHSK to operationalise 18 new health centres | KNO

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 18 (KNO) : Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqaash today directed Directorate of Health Services Kashmir to work out modalities for operationalizing newly-built 18 health centres so that people of far-flung areas avail better medicare facilities. The Minister was speaking at a meeting she convened to take stock of functioning of DHSK. Director DHSK Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Chief Medical Officers, BMOs, Medical Superintendents, officers of NHM and other concerned officers were present at the meeting. The meeting was informed that the newly-built health centers including PHCs Ladoo, Konibal, Charsoo, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, ANG in Pulwama, PHCs Harmain, Rampora, Tikroo, CHC Zainpora, ANM in Shopian, NTPHC Srandoo, Kulgam, PHC Lalpora Budgam, PHC Tirgam, Bandipora, PHC Madwan Bandipora and PHC Trehgam Kupwara upon their functioning would augment healthcare facilities in respective areas . Asiea asked officers of DHSK to create mass awareness regarding healthcare schemes besides symptoms of chronic disease through print, electronic and social media for the benefit of People. She also asked them to install free medical check-up camps across the valley especially in far-flung areas so that people take benefit from it. She asked Director DHSK to ensure strict adherence to duty roaster of Doctors and Para-Medic staff in district hospitals and all health centres across the valley, especially during night hours.

While reviewing the stock position of Drug supply, the Minister directed DHSK to ensure an adequate supply of medicines to the health institutions. Asiea also reviewed staff position, availability of Ambulances, procurement of latest diagnostic machines and other medicare facilities provided by DHSK. On the occasion, the Minister was also apprised about various grievances by DHSK authorities to which she assured prompt redressal.(KNO)
